We understand that not everyone has a vast knowledge of DIY or construction, it is for this reason that we employ knowledgeable staff who are on hand to share their experience with you so that you can find the right product for the job. Since moving to our new larger custom built premises in 2010 we have installed state of the art racking systems ensuring our materials are kept in the safest and best conditions. This gives you peace of mind that your materials will be delivered in tip-top condition. After moving to these larger premises we expanded our range of products to include paint mixing, under ground and over ground drainage, PVC roofline and a vast range of tools. These products lines would compliment our already large stock of timber, insulation, building, roofing and landscaping products. At this time we also launched our online shop where products can be viewed online, paid for securely, and delivered to your home. Our aim is to make the DIY process as hassle free as possible.
In June 2013 we opened our second location in Largs, North Ayrshire. This branch has grown from serving the local area to covering all over North Ayrshire along with Millport, Dunoon and Rothesay. This is also a custom built depot which includes a two floor showroom with doors, wet-wall, worktops and flooring on display.
We know that having competitive prices is important to our customers, that’s why we aim to keep our prices at the lowest possible level but at the same time maintain a high level of quality and service.
In August 2013 we joined the ‘H&B Buying Group’ which has over 80 members across the U.K. This large buying group gives us the platform to access the buying prices of the big national merchants and being an independent merchant we are in a position to pass them onto the customer whilst maintaining our independent service. H&B Buying Group has a combined annual turnover approaching £1 billion allowing us at M&J to be at the forefront of pricing and have access to all the top brands and suppliers from the U.K and beyond.
We operate two 26 tonne hiab trucks, one 18 tonne hiab truck and a 7.5 tonne curtain side truck across our two branches ensuring a user friendly delivery service for you 6 days a week. All our divers are trained to the highest standards ensuring a safe, speedy delivery to your home or site.
At M&J we don’t believe in standing still and we are always looking for new ways to improve our service and grow our business. Our head office, the Greenock branch have recently installed a large state of the art showroom which is dedicated to showcasing many of the products that you would normally want to touch and feel before purchasing.
